Ekaakshara Preschool, which gives importance to play with learning celebrates Salad Day.

                      

               It is important to eat a variety of fresh vegetables, in many different colours as much as possible.  Any salad for that  matter, vegetables or leafy greens, offer a high nutritional benefit.  These are loaded with vitamins, eating a salad will also increase the level of powerful antioxidants in the blood.

                                With an objective to educate children about the importance of eating salads,            we at Ekaakshara  Preschool,   a Preschool which provides themed based learning                         celebrated Salad day. 

                                Crunchy, tiny and colourful vegetables were seen in all the boxes. Kids                      enjoyed the salad and also  shared it with their friends.

            Goddess Saraswathi is the hindu goddess of knowledge, music, art, wisdom and nature
Saraswathi Pooja is one the ajor events celebrated in our Indian culture. Children are encouraged to worship Goddess Saraswathi because of the educational value she holds. This is why we should teach our Children to pray.

               Prayer or worship is considered to be integral part of any religion. It is very important to teach children to pray. We should teach them to first thank God for that they have _ loving family, food, clothing etc, The best way to begin educating to begin educating your children about prayer is to pray in their presence. Prayer is the best way to teach kids to tell Thank You.

                 At Ekaakshara Pre School & Day Care, Saraswathi Pooja was performed today where children worshipped Goddess Saraswaathi by reciting shlokas, offering Haldi, Kumkum and flowers. The tiny angels bowed in front of the Goddess and thanked her and asked for blessings.

      Ekaakshara Preschool, which provides individual attention to toddlers celebrates Grandparents Day.

                      Grandparents who are always special, always loved by the little angles play a very important role.  They have so many stories and experiences from their own lives to share very often.  Children will listen to Grandparents when they are not listening to their parents.

                      Grandparents also offer link to a child's cultural heritage and family history.

      So, to make Grandparents feel special, Grandparents Day was celebrated at Ekaakshara Preschool, a Preschool which gives importance to etiquette learning.

      Different cards for Grandmom and Granddad were made by the tiny angels with the assistance of the teacher. The toddler's enjoyed the task with lot of interest and enthusiasm.  They had a lot of fun while making this card.

      The toddler's were asked to give the cards to their Grandparents.

                      On the whole, it was a total fun filled activity.

                Brown day was celebrated at Ekaakshara Preschool, Vidyaranayapura on 10 Jan 2020.

Ekaakshara Preschool and Day Care, one of the best Preschool at Vidyaranyapura, a preschool with innovative teaching techniques which in turn helps the toddlers to prepare for their future.

                Brown, the colour of earth, wood and stone. It is a natural colour that is associated with the seasons of fall and winter.  This earthly colour is also related to dependability, security and safety.

                Toddlers had come to school dressed in different shades of brown colour. The teachers too had come dressed in brown attire.

                The entrance of the school was decorated with chart and buntings related to the topic. The classroom was also decorated with different charts and buntings in brown colour.

                A hopping bunny craft was given to the toddlers as a takeaway.

             Creepy....Craawlies..... little cute colourful insects, some with soft and some with hard body, some with 6 and some with 8 legs.  These bugs are everywhere.  Insects are the largest group of animals on earth by far.

Benefits of Insects:-

               Insects are very useful to humans and to the environment. 

They help in pollination. They help in transporting the pollen to the other flower for fertilization process.

          In garden, these insects act as natural pest controlling agents.

          Honey, lac, dyes, and beeswax are produced by insects which are very useful to humans.

          Insects also play a greater role in increasing the beauty of nature through their vibrant and beautiful colours.

          Many types of insects are also been used in medicines.

          So, by knowing these things we come to know that insects are very important to nature and as well as human beings.  It our duty to pass on this knowledge to the toddlers who are always  curious and inquisitive. Keeping this objective in mind, Ekaakshara Preschool and Day Care, which is a Preschool with only female staff, celebrated  "A Day with Insects".

                The toddlers came dressed cutely as beautiful little tiny insects.  The premises was decorated with colourful and different creepy and crawling insects in the form of different charts and buntings. The toddlers thoroughly enjoyed the experience of coming dressed as their favourite creepy crawlies.

          Worksheets were given to the kids to understand the concept better. The tiny angles had a lot of fun while identifying the insects from the charts and the buntings.

          A takeaway insect craft was given to the toddlersto mark the event.
